ALTG awarded $12 million in funding

The ALTG is pleased to announce over $12 million in funding has been successfully awarded to ALTG, NHMRC Clinical Trial Centre and the Australian Genomic Cancer Medicine Centre for the ASPiRATION project. In this ground-breaking precision medicine study, led by ALTG President A/Prof Nick Pavlakis and ALTG Scientific Advisory Committee Chair, Prof Ben Solomon, ASPiRATION will explore the benefit of routine comprehensive genomic profiling in 1000 newly-diagnosed metastatic, non-squamous, NSCLC patients in Australia. The enhanced genomic profiling will assist in personalising patient care by matching patients to targeted treatments as early as possible to improve patient outcomes.

TACT News

TACT has welcomed its first five Member Groups and three Industry Partners. A number of other groups and organisations have submitted applications or are in the process of discussing the possibility of joining TACT and we expect to have at least ten Member Groups and five Industry Partners by the end of 2016. The first TACT General Assembly will take place in Chicago on June 3 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago – Magnificent Mile. In future, General Assembly meetings will be open only to Member Group and Industry Partner representatives; however, for this first General Assembly the invitation has been extended to all participants at previous meetings and other interested parties, to ensure the mission and progress of TACT is clearly communicated in its early stages.

Contact the TACT Secretariat for more information.
