ALTG 16/013 Activities and influences of the specialist lung cancer nurse: a mixed-method comparative study of the multidisciplinary team assigned and not assigned a specialist lung cancer nurse – V Brunelli

This concept is being developed by the Australia and New Zealand Lung Cancer Nurses Forum (ANZ LCNF). The study aims are:

  1. To understand what comprises the role of the specialist lung cancer nurse in the lung cancer multidisciplinary team
  2. To compare patient perceived contribution of nursing activities between lung cancer multidisciplinary teams assigned and not assigned a specialist lung cancer nurse to patient experience

The study protocol is currently under review by the SAC Subgroup (Supportive and Palliative Care). Funding for this study will be sought following discussion at the May ALTG Members’ Meeting and subsequent finalisation of the protocol.
